Flex 2 Beta, Free Flex Framework SDK

So Flex 2 beta will be available tomorrow at http://labs.adobe.com , this was totally expected. Surprising great news is that Adobe will be offering Flex Framework SDK free (not available yet). Flex 2 with Flex Builder will be under $1000.

The free SDK includes:

  • The MXML/AS compiler
  • The Flex class library
  • The Flash player (which was already free)

BTW, Flash Player penetration numbers were released today. Version 8 is already at around 50%!
