No, it’s no hackers work. If you make your daily visit to FlashGuru’s MX 101 today, you’ll get a 509 error. That is ‘Bandwidth Limit Exceeded’.
I was able to reach the owner, Guy (Watson), for comments.
He stated it’s partly because of the huge interest in FileSystem.mxp, which is an extension DLL that provides file functions for JSAPI in Flash MX 2004. He said the site will be up ASAP after some more bandwidth is allocated.
“FlashGuru’s MX 101 will be moving to Media Temple servers in the very near future where I have a larger pipe, so hopefully this won’t happen again”. Good news.
While it is unfortunate to have your site down for any site owner, I wish my site was down for the same reason…
It seems the site is back up, just a few minutes after my post. Now, Guy, that was fast indeed.
Here’s what you’d have seen while the site was down:
Bandwidth Limit Exceeded
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to the site owner reaching his/her bandwidth limit. Please try again later.
